Job Description

(Environmental, Social, and Governance) Analyst, you will play a vital role in assessing and analyzing the environmental, social, and governance performance of companies.
Your responsibilities will include evaluating company practices, policies, and performance against established ESG criteria and frameworks.

You will provide valuable insights and recommendations to inform investment decisions, risk management strategies, and sustainability initiatives.

This position requires a strong understanding of ESG principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive ESG analysis by researching and assessing company data, reports, and disclosures to evaluate their performance in environmental, social, and governance areas.
Develop and maintain ESG models and frameworks to assess company sustainability practices, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather relevant ESG information and identify emerging trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Identify material ESG issues, risks, and opportunities that could impact the long-term financial performance of companies or investment portfolios.

Provide ESG insights, recommendations, and reports to internal teams, including investment managers, portfolio managers, and executives, to support informed decision-making.

Stay up to date with global ESG trends, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
Assist in developing and implementing ESG strategies, policies, and initiatives to enhance sustainability and responsible investment practices.

Support the development of ESG-related marketing and communication materials to educate internal and external stakeholders about the company's ESG efforts.

Collaborate with external rating agencies, industry experts, and ESG data providers to improve data quality and enhance the company's ESG performance benchmarks.

Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and workshops to enhance knowledge and network with ESG professionals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, sustainability, environmental studies, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG principles, frameworks (such as SASB, GRI, TCFD), and industry-specific ESG issues.
  • Experience in ESG analysis, sustainability reporting, or responsible investing within a financial institution, asset management firm, consulting firm, or related industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with ESG data providers and software platforms.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify relevant insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey ESG concepts and recommendations effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to ESG disclosure and reporting.
  • Familiarity with sustainable finance initiatives, impact investing, and other relevant concepts is a plus.
  • Professional certifications related to ESG analysis or sustainability (e.g., CFA, GRI, SASB) are highly desirable.
